Why can't we get a resolved budget prior to this election? Where is the city council with the numbers?
Shouldn't we see what Dawn is thinking before she runs? With this much control, I think it is fair to say "What are you thinking before she potentially runs our city for four years?"

HOBOKEN RENT CONTROL ORDINANCE FOUND UNCONSTITUTIONAL
Judge Rules City Failed to Administer Law Properly
HOBOKEN – (Sept 24, 2009) In a ruling that will permanently alter the landscape of rent control regulation in Hoboken, Hudson County Superior Court Judge Shirley Tolentino yesterday ruled that the Hoboken Rent Leveling Office was arbitrary, capri…

The Mile Square Taxpayers Association has protested the Hoboken Rent Leveling Office’s recent declaration that apartment owners are required to reduce rents because the consumer price index declined.
The Rent Control Ordinance does not speak to declines in the CPI, it only states that rent increases are limited to increases in the CPI.
In a letter to the Rent Leveling Officer Suzanne Hetman, Mile Square also called into question the discretion of the Rent Leveling Board in broaching the matter,…

Now that Dawn Zimmer is our mayor (I did not vote for her-full disclosure) isn't it time for this website to hold her accountable? What has she done already as our temporary mayor? What is she planning for these next fews months to try and accomplish? Lower Hoboken Taxes and Hoboken Revolt I follow very closely and I find it interesting that we are continuing with the "Out dated" Peter Cammarano drama and not focusing on What is going on with our Town?
City Hall does probably one of the worst jo…

We just launched the all new Peter Cammarano website. This site will enable everyone the opportunity to get to know Peter as we have 15 new video's that have Peter explain the issues and what and how he is going to change Hoboken. In addition, we created a "Meet Me" functionality to show the people of Hoboken where Peter will be so they may have the opportunity to meet with him. If your schedule does not permit, we have a simple form to set up a one on one meeting with Peter, so you can talk to…

Dear Lower Hoboken Taxes,
I was excited to have a private debate between the candidates for our website. But it did not seem like anyone was interested. I have reviewed both candidates positions and to me it is a clear choice. Peter Cammarano is the only candidate that I would feel comfortable managing our city. He has the experience and judgement needed to balance the budget, lower taxes, create a transparent government and provide the leadership neccessary to lead Hoboken forward.
I had the…

Dear Lower Hoboken Taxes,
As I mentioned in my last request, I believe it would be a great idea to have an private debate for the users of Lower Hoboken Taxes users, between our two candidates.
I have asked the management of 333 River St to allow this forum to occur within the building. 333 has ample enough space to host approx. 200 people in the general purpose room. They have agreed to allow us to utilize the space.
I have gone ahead and asked the Peter Cammarano campaign for their support…

Dear Lower Hoboken Taxes,
I think your doing a great job. The types of transparency and information you provide is the type of information that should be provided by our towns Website. Who ever wins this election we should request that they should make it part of their campaign promises to make this town more transparent to our residents. We have a town website that does nothing for the community and a corrupt Hoboken 411 that deletes user comments if he does not agree with yor opinion. Anyway,…

There are hundreds of non Hoboken residents sending their children to our public schools. Some of them used to live here and now have moved to a different town, but continue using their previous Hoboken addresses. Some just simply lie and use their friends and families' addresses. With the cost of per student spending of $25,000 per year, who is paying for that?? We should crack down on that. Please share your opinion and bring this to the City Hall.

This tax increase is absolutely shameful. The majority of taxes in Hoboken (like everywhere else) are paid by the relatively wealthy few who mostly work in the city and mind their own business. These people (the Yuppies, as the Born and Raised community calls them) pay all the bills, do not participate in city politics, and get minimal benefit from the corrupt and wasteful spending of their hard earned money.
The frivolous waste, fraud, and corruption that sucks up the city budget has been perp…

As a long time Hoboken resident who has carefully watched this unfortunate and tragic financial mess unfold weekly mostly by reading the editorials and news accounts in "The Hudson Reporter", I am curious if I am the only one who is increasingly amazed at not only how each member of the city council (and the mayor) seem to not only want to blame one another, but also how obvious it is that the constant bickering and repeated past quarrels, accusations, harsh innuendos and finger pointing headed…
