If Cammarano is so dedicated to and concerned about the citizens of Hoboken, he will step down. The taxpayers in this city have been through enough. We first bailed out an ineffective mayor and a city council that couldn't manage a budget. Do these people manage their own checking accounts? I saw the lack of quality in the proposed budget for FY10, and I'd be fired from my job if I presented a document like that. Next, we elect a hypocrite who publicly states that corruption won't be tolerated, yet steps out the back door of the diner to accept cash for a favor to be named later. Mr. Mayor, your plea for innocence is so weak; we are not that stupid. You're a successful attorney, you spent time in public office on city council, yet you can't recognize when you're being bribed? If you want to salvage any political capital that might exist, get out of office and let this city move on. People would at least accept you for being a man and admitting to what you've done.
Is anybody else as fed up as I am?
