Peter Cammarano is leading Dawn Zimmer by a count of 6,043 to Zimmer's 5,976 votes for a difference of 67 votes according to City Clerk Jim Farina. Zimmer's campaign has not conceded and the final certification of results may not occur for a number of days pending the counting of provisional ballots, a recount, or legal challenge. Read this Hoboken Reporter article for more information.

Although the Mayor's race is undetermined, Zimmer's slate of Carol Marsh, Ravi Bhalla and Dave Mello seems to have a significant enough margin to win over Cammarano's slate of Alicea, Addeo and Morales.

Voter turnout was significantly higher in the runoff election and voters seemed educated on the issues and candidates. We would like to congratulate all the candidates in their efforts to make Hoboken a better place to live.

Lower Hoboken Taxes is committed to continuing the fight to make our government more effective and efficient. Check out these upcoming issues:

- The new 2010 budget begins on July 1st and it hasn't even been introduced yet!
- Taxes are still 47% higher than they were last fiscal year!
- A new mayor will be appointing a host of new directors and board members. We need to make sure they reflect our priorities!
- The school board and county represent the majority of our property taxes and we want these organizations to spend our money wisely.
